Start your enquiry

Before you design

A custom benchtop starts with the room, not just the timber.

The configurator will price size, species, finish, delivery and common cut-outs. These are the practical choices worth settling before you build your quote.

Choose what it needs to do

Kitchen benchtops, islands, laundry tops, bathroom vanities, commercial counters, desks and shelves each need different support, overhangs and moisture care.

Measure the useful details

Start with length, depth and thickness. Then note walls, joins, appliances, sink and tap cut-outs, and anything your builder or joiner needs to allow for.

Pick the timber character

Rimu brings warmth and variation, Tōtara is quieter and golden, and Red Beech reads cleaner and more modern. Samples help when colour has to match a room.

Be realistic about care

Hardwax-oiled timber feels natural and can be refreshed. It still wants sensible care: wipe spills, avoid standing water, and use boards or trivets for hard use.

THE SHAPES

Three shapes,
three different presences.

Boardroom tables shape the room as much as they fill it. Each of our three signature shapes carries a different presence. Rectangular is available as the standard. Pick the form that suits your space and the way the room should feel.

Timber colours

Nine colour options are in the quote builder below. Use them for a quick comparison across Rimu, Tōtara and Beech, then order timber samples if colour needs to work with cabinetry, flooring or wall light.

Pill-shaped boardroom table in Country Bark Tōtara

FLOWING / CONTEMPORARY

Pill

Soft rounded ends and clean straight sides. The pill shape moves visually through a room, suiting modern offices and meeting spaces that want a softer geometry than the standard rectangle.

Danish Oval boardroom table in Darkwash Beech

ARCHITECTURAL / EXECUTIVE

Danish Oval

Long sides that swell gently outward and rounded short ends. In darkwash beech, the Danish Oval anchors a room with weight and figure. Suits executive boardrooms, professional services firms, and any space where the table should set the architecture.

SHOWN IN DARKWASH WEST COAST BEECH

Pebble-shaped boardroom table in Clear Rimu

DESIGN-FORWARD / ORGANIC

Pebble

An asymmetric form with one fuller rounded end and one tapered narrower end. In clear rimu, the timber's character grain reads strongest. Suits creative agencies, design studios, and corporate spaces that want a boardroom table with personality rather than convention.

RECENT DIRECTIONS

Recent boardroom table directions

The top shape is only one part of the decision. These examples show how timber, finish and base style change the feel of a boardroom table.

Rectangular dark timber boardroom table with black trestle-style bases in a warm meeting room

Straightforward custom direction

Double Crossroads / black steel base

A rectangular boardroom table with a dark timber top and black steel trestle-style bases. This is the most familiar custom boardroom format: practical, strong and easy to scale, but made more substantial through real timber and architectural steelwork.

Best for practical meeting rooms, professional services, construction, infrastructure and commercial offices that want a durable custom table without overcomplicating the shape or base.

Style shown as an example. Final dimensions and seating capacity are made to suit the room.

Rectangular natural timber boardroom table with sculptural crossed timber base in a formal meeting room

Architectural upgrade

Timber Asterix / sculptural base

A rectangular boardroom table with a sculptural crossed timber base. It keeps the familiar usefulness of a rectangle, but gives the base enough presence to feel architectural rather than standard office furniture.

Best for heritage, civic, architectural and premium commercial rooms where the table needs to anchor the space.

A timber-base direction for rooms where the table should feel like part of the architecture.

Rounded timber boardroom table with cylindrical timber pedestal bases and circular tabletop access points

Softer executive option

Timber pedestal / integrated power

A warm timber boardroom table with rounded ends, timber pedestal bases and integrated tabletop access points. The softer shape makes the room feel less corporate, while the built-in cable and power planning keeps laptops, screens and meeting tools tidy.

Best for executive rooms, client-facing meeting spaces and teams that want a serious table without sharp corners.

Power and cable details are planned around the room, seating layout and AV requirements.

POWER + CONNECTIVITY

Built for the way your team meets.

Most of our boardroom tables include integrated power, USB and cable management. Flush stainless modules sit in the timber surface so they disappear when not in use. Cables route cleanly through the table to the floor. For meeting rooms with screens, mics or built-in AV, we plan the routing with your installer so the timber stays clean.

  • Integrated power modules with NZ sockets
  • USB-A and USB-C charging
  • Flush stainless surrounds, hidden cable routing
  • AV integration coordinated with your installer

CUSTOM EVERY DETAIL

Built around your space, not the other way around.

Every boardroom table is made to order. We start from your room dimensions, seating capacity and brief, then draw the table around them. Pick the shape, the timber and finish, the base, and the proportions. The renderings here are from one of our recent boardroom projects, modelled to the client's room before we cut a single board.

Every table is designed to your room before we build.

Frequently asked

How much does a custom boardroom table cost?

Boardroom tables start from around $3,500 for a modest, rectangular table with steel legs. The final figure depending on size, shape, timber, finish and base. Every quote is tailored to spec. Send us your room dimensions and seating requirements and we come back with a figure.

What size do I need?

It depends on seating capacity, chair size and circulation space. As a starting point: 2400 × 1200mm seats 8 to 10, 3000 × 1200mm seats 10 to 12, 3600 × 1400mm seats 12 to 14. Send us your room dimensions and we recommend the right size and shape.

What is the lead time?

Around 6 weeks from approved quote to delivery. If you have a hard deadline, tell us in your enquiry and we confirm what is possible.

Will the table fit through our doors and lifts?

Large tables are usually built so the top can be carried in separately and assembled on site. If your building has tight access, narrow lifts or stair-only floors, mention it in your enquiry and we plan the build and install accordingly.

Can you integrate power, USB and AV?

Yes. We can incorporate integrated power modules, USB charging and cable management. For rooms with screens, mics or built-in AV, we route cables cleanly through the table to support the setup.

Can you build for 12, 16 or 20+ people?

Yes. We regularly design tables for larger groups and can advise on proportion, support structure and how the table will be moved into the building.

Do you deliver outside Christchurch?

Yes. We deliver and install nationwide across New Zealand.

How do I look after the timber top?

Each top is finished for daily commercial use. Care guidelines come with delivery, and we can refresh the finish years down the track if needed.
