Outdoor furniture, made in Christchurch
Outdoor dining tables, café tables and bar leaners made around your deck, courtyard, venue or patio, with Alfresco porcelain and selected timber options where they make sense.
Length, width, height, base style and finish are tuned once we understand the space.
We are direct about what suits exposed, high-use and hospitality settings.
Bases, frames and finishes are specified as furniture, not disposable patio décor.
Useful for decks, courtyards, entrances, balconies and outdoor dining areas.
A practical way to choose
Exposure, cleaning expectations and seating numbers decide more than style does.
Once those are clear, the material choice is usually straightforward.
Selected outdoor-suitable timbers bring grain and character outside. They still need normal care, so finish, weathering and maintenance are part of the recommendation.
Alfresco porcelain, usually paired with steel, suits busy homes, cafés and venues that need easier cleaning and a crisp surface.
Decks, courtyards and venues rarely follow standard dimensions. We adjust size, height, base style and finish around the space.
Built with the same standards as our indoor work
Innate outdoor pieces are approached as proper furniture: clear material choices, durable bases, and finishes chosen for the environment.
Outdoor timber needs normal care and maintenance. If porcelain is the better fit for your setting, we will say so.
Useful answers first
Yes, when the species, finish and exposure make sense. It will still weather and need normal care over time, so we talk through maintenance before recommending it.
For most high-use outdoor settings, Alfresco porcelain surfaces with steel bases are the lower-maintenance option. If you go timber, our timber care guide covers the oiling routine - the same principles apply outdoors, just on a more regular rhythm.
Yes. Most Innate pieces are made to order, including outdoor tables and leaners.
Yes. We build for homes, hospitality fit-outs and commercial outdoor areas.
With normal care, decades. Outdoor timber isn't maintenance-free - it weathers, and it wants a re-oil more often than an indoor table - but that's surface work, not structural. The solid NZ timber and powder-coated steel underneath are built for outdoor life, and because the finish is repairable, a tired-looking top can be brought back rather than replaced.
Yes. Because everything is made to order in the same Christchurch workshop, we can carry the same timber tones, base style and proportions from your dining table out to the deck. Tell us what you have (or what you're ordering) and we'll design the outdoor piece to belong to the same family.
