Delivery and installation

Delivery planned before we build.

Large custom furniture should not arrive as a surprise. We confirm size, access and delivery method before the piece leaves the workshop.

How it works

Large furniture needs a plan, not guesswork.

A custom table, benchtop or commercial piece has weight, size, corners, doorways, stairs and real rooms to consider. We work through those details before the piece leaves the workshop.

01

We confirm the destination.

For smaller items this may be straightforward. For larger pieces, we may check the delivery address, timing, room location and whether there are lifts, stairs, tight corners or site access requirements.

02

We choose the right handling path.

Some pieces can travel by courier or standard freight. Larger furniture is handled through freight or furniture-moving partners suited to the piece and destination.

03

We decide how it should arrive.

Many pieces are made and checked in the workshop before delivery. Depending on the design, size and access, some items travel assembled and others are safer to deliver in parts and assemble on site.

04

We make the handover calm.

The aim is simple: protect the furniture, protect the room, and avoid surprises at the door.

What we may ask you.

Helpful details include the delivery address and suburb, whether the room is upstairs, lift or stairwell details, driveway or parking access, photos of tricky access points, and any site timing restrictions.

For commercial and trade projects.

For boardrooms, hospitality venues and fit-outs, delivery is usually coordinated around the project timeline, access windows and other trades. If a site has induction, lift booking, loading dock or after-hours requirements, tell us early.

What delivery costs.

Delivery cost depends on the item, destination and handling required. Where possible we give an estimate early. For larger or unusual pieces, we may confirm the best freight or furniture-moving option before locking in the final figure.

Built in Christchurch, delivered NZ-wide.

Innate furniture is made in Christchurch and delivered throughout New Zealand. The delivery method changes with the piece, but the planning happens before the order is finalised.

Questions we expect

Delivery FAQs.

Do you deliver outside Christchurch?

Yes. Innate is based in Christchurch and delivers furniture across New Zealand. The delivery method depends on the piece, destination and access.

Will my table arrive assembled?

Where practical, yes, but it depends on the design, size and access. Some larger tables are safer to move in parts and assemble on site. We confirm this before delivery.

What if access is difficult?

Tell us early. Photos, measurements, stair details or lift dimensions can help us choose the safest delivery approach before the piece leaves the workshop.

Can you coordinate with a builder, designer or fit-out team?

Yes. For commercial, boardroom and hospitality projects, we can plan delivery around site access, timing and handover requirements.
