Natural grade is our clean, even choice: silver beech with soft colour and few marks. At 85 mm wide, the boards give a calm, traditional look that suits most rooms.
Solid timber flooring made from New Zealand silver beech, with a tongue and groove profile in our Natural grade: 85 x 19 mm, supplied uncoated.
Natural has a cleaner, more even look than our Heritage grade. Silver beech is pale and fine textured, with soft colour variation from board to board, and a Janka side hardness of 4.5 kN.

How is solid timber flooring installed and finished?
Install, then sand, then coat. Our flooring is supplied uncoated. An installer experienced with solid timber flooring can lay it using standard solid timber flooring practices, then sand it and apply your chosen finish.
We are advocates of Osmo oils and Natural House Company oils, but there is a wide range of flooring oils, waxes and other finishes to choose from. The choice is yours to make with your installer, whether the floor is for your home or business.

Supplied as solid timber to the grade described. Your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act apply. Laying, sanding and finishing are your installer's workmanship.
The laid floor image is an illustration of the grade with a clear oil finish. Boards are supplied uncoated, as in the photo of the stacked boards. Every floor is unique.
Compare beech flooring grades and widths
Natural grade has a cleaner, more even appearance. Heritage grade has more character, including small pinholes and darker markings. Natural comes in 85 mm; Heritage in 85 mm or a wider 105 mm board.
